Now in my garage, it was time to get the chain in shape. We have two issues.....that we know of. The sprocket alignment isn't 100% true and we needed to use two master links in the chain and they were right next to one another...not a good idea for reliability. I broke the chain and separated the master links so that only one of them would ever be under tension at any time. I also took up all the allowable slack in our motor mounting holes to help the sprocket alignment. It all worked! I later took it for a test ride and it performed quite well. Still needs brakes, though!
It's a living, breathing chopper now, baby! As I finished up for the night, I realized it was "Two Wheel Tuesday" on the Speed channel. Notice the image on the TV! Aww yeah!
I pulled the motor and handed it to Shiner D so he can work on the carb. The frame is already in the process of being disassembled. Tomorrow night I'll smooth the welds down (somewhat), and give the monster a coat of primer.

Here she sits......stripped of all her pride, er I mean paint. Okay, so maybe not *all* the paint is gone, but just remember our motto here at Wilco Choppers.... "Eh, that'll work."
Now with a little coat of primer. Yes, I cheaped out and spray bombed it (spray paint). Maybe one day I'll make it "pretty", but I doubt it.
Yeah, I got a little crazy when I saw how fast the primer dried and laid down a coat of satin black, which will be it's final color. I'm unsure at this point if I'll clearcoat it. Again, just spray bombing it. It's only got one light coat. I'll apply more tomorrow night.
Only two and half days left to work on it before we leave for Nationals!!!
